3 August Must Reads from Badass Female Authors

Now that we have entered the last month of summer it’s time to buckle down on that Summer reading we planned on doing.

There’s nothing more relaxing than hitting your THC or CBD (depends on the mood) vaporizer pen and getting all cozy in bed with the perfect cup of chamomile tea or if we’re really feeling fun, a nice hot cup of Tazo’s Vanilla Bean Macaron tea (another topic for another post) and opening the pages of what is about to be your next great read.

We love to read not only because there is an escape from the hustle and bustle of the day but because we want to expand our minds, points of view && exercise our brains.

We have selected for you 3 books to dive into as you wind down from running from vacay to vacay and somehow finding time to work in between. For August we are celebrating 3 amazing female writers && their influencing work.

Next Level Basic by Stassi Schroder

Have you ever felt like you’re the only person in the group that speaks their mind, calls others out on their BS because there’s just no way you’re going to let any unnecessary drams go down, and just so basic that no one really gets it?? Well look no further because your “bitchy best friend” is right around the corner. Next Level Basic is a book, wait scratch that… a BIBLE, that encourages everyone to own their basicness && at the end of the day just be you. Be your own Boss A$$ B*&ch && dive into NLB with revelations from the Bravo reality star herself, Stassi Schroder.

** Side Note- Gavin got me a copy of the book as my graduation present with the words “To guide you on your next chapter”. How can you not love a man like that?!

Am I There Yet? by Mari Andrew

One important thing to note && always remember is that the timeline of someone else’s life isn’t yours and you shouldn’t allow yourself to feel like you need to keep up with someone else’s race. Am I There Yet? from Mari Andrew is a refreshingly, hilarious guide to adulthood based off of the lessons she herself learned as she grew through her adulthood. Such an artsy aesthetic you don’t want to miss the opportunity to have this on your nightstand.

The Sun & Her Flowers by Rupi Kuar

We have seen throughout the course of our history that words hold a power unlike any other. When those words are influential, come from a positive mind && used for good they can change your life. While this isn’t a new book, The Sun & Her Flowers is one book that can be recommended to any and everyone. The poetic words of Rupi Kuar give a bright, shining light at the end of what feels like a dark tunnel. You guys seriously need to get down with this book.

We hope you take the time out to go seeking one or all of these amazing reads from these inspiring && Bad A$$ women.
